I kept playing with the idea of making moonheart modern, so that I didn't have to learn how to draw ships or water or anything. But the prospect of drawing planes, speedboats, and a lot of technology does not sound fun. Plus I prefer pirate-y outfits! So normal moonheart it is.
I just got the sudden urge to write a kind of script/story for it, just so I know what's happening in it. I totally love the story, even now, when I wrote it more than a year ago. I mean, the earliest I could have thought it up was March 17th 2007, which is the entry in this journal...

pluuuusss my one year on this journal has passed like.. last week... which is surprisin'.. I never write in here, or post pictures. I should start.
anyways, i'm going to start with a list of characters
luna forte (mysterious one)
luna arcane ("special" one)
Wolfe (Benjamin or James... perhaps Benjamin James Wolfe? Naw, I'm cutting the Wolfe bit, to Jackson-y.)
The priestess (who was modeled after khadeja... ah yes, it was me as the split girls slash me and margie, and then jackson, and then khadeja... i am a sad child. in any case, it's evolved from all that.)

I don't know if i want to put all the bit about selene and her broken heart. but i guess i should. it's different when it's not modern though.
basic (SUPER BASIC) storyline:
.on an island two girls are wards of a priestess because they have the touch of the moon, yet it is only visible right away on one
.a pirate hears about it (one of many) and seeks out the priestess
.she agrees to let him kidnap one of the girls (without telling him about the other) in exchange for sex (i don't know why, but this is what he gives her)
.he kidnaps her and takes her aboard his ship
.she won't let him see her map (the markings all over her body), he threatens to skin her, she then gets naked willingly...
.he's trying to follow the map
.meanwhile, when the OTHER girl discovers her other half has been kidnapped, she goes to the priestess for guidence but soon realizes it's her fault. she then runs away, disguised in some way, to follow the other
.the other girl catches up with them and ends up getting tied up and tossed with the other one
.the pirate's arch nemesis attacks their ship and then becomes enamored with the second girl, taking her instead of the first one.
.the other girl begs and begs until the pirate helps her get her other half back, they're almost captured by the arch nemesis again but then they escape
.then, closer to their destination, the arch nemesis catches up and takes the map
.the pirate acts like he lost more than just a map, and so agrees to trade
.arch nemesis tries to rape the second girl, but she kicks his ass and escapes
.the first girl and the pirate find the treasure, but it won't open. he curses her, and finally realizes that the other girl had a use after all.
.he leaves the map to fend for herself and sets out to find the key
i could continue from her. infact, i will.
.the key finds her way to the map and they try to integrate into society, but eventually the pirate finds them, and kidnaps the key. the map follows and the pirate and the map meet again, and the pirate decides instead that he wants the map, like the girl, and so lahdedah happy happy....
.then the key opens the chest and what is in it? gold, and of course, another map.
<3 pirates inspired me so much for this story. it was during dead man's chest that i came up with bits of this cause i knew tia was the goddess, so it was kinda like that in some ways. plus awesomeness that is the "primative" island bits.
i can watch pirates to draw my comic yey.
and in a couple years i'll finish it (cause it will take me that long) and maybe even try to get it published.
okay, so, it's nearly three am, but I don't care! I will write a more detailed storyline for myself.
I don't know if it will begin with an explanation of what it means to be moontouched... or if i'll just jump into the story. I might talk to Holly about that.
oh! I almost forgot. Originally i think the map was blind. which was why should couldn't escape. should she still be blind? and does her blindness go away with the key around? i don't know and it's kind of important. i think i just did it cause of storm though. i guess.
anyways. i should get on writing this so i can go to bed.
so. a human map (ana), dressing for the day. the key (luna) comes up beside her, and the two of them rush to teachings with the priestess. they carry water, fix baskets, hang herbs, learn tarot reading or throwing stones or something, and then go to bed. this should be fairly wordless, or low on the talking, but it's about seeing their daily routine.
in the night, ships pull up around the side of the island, and Ramsey) comes and seeks the priestess (Bella Toma). he asks about the map, and she speaks of the girls, who are sleeping in a field or something nearby. he asks how he'll know the map, she says he'll know, and so he has sex with her (for that is her payment) and then heads off to find the map.
Ramsey lifts ana very gently from her friend's side and carries her virtually silently (and in yummy shirtless glory?) back to the ship, but before he can tie her up she wakes up, and fights him, and he ends up having to sit on her while he ties her up. he eventually knocks her out.
when ana comes to ramsey asks to see the map. and she refuses. and they argue for a while, and she speaks of modesty and all that jazz, until finally he tells her she could get naked, or he could skin her. alive.
so she takes off her stuff and--tada! map.
next: luna wakes up. somewhere there must be a shot with her key marking(s). anyway, ana is missing. she goes to the priestess for help, but she's not in. she does one of the things i had her learn before, and sees that the priestess was in leagues with the kidnapper and that they had sex (why i'm obsessed with Ramsey's sexin, i dunno), and so runs away, fighting off the priestess in the process (or killing her, killing would be cool). she stows away on a ship which trades with them, and goes to the next port. [end issue one]
she disguises herself as a boy and takes the ship that she feels will lead her to ana.
ramsey discovers, after many awkward sessions, how to read the map. he steers that way, but must stop in port to get supplies. there his crew runs amock, and a few drunkards spoil everything by letting the info on the human map spill to two important people: luna, and malakai marx. they leave port with luna stowed away onboard and marx following behind.
luna reveals herself and asks nicely for her friend/thing/person back. he refuses. she tries to fight him and fails horribly, so she too gets tied up and put with ana. together they are happier than they were apart, but still not very happy because--tied up.
marx catches up and attacks, eventually getting on to the ship. he sees the key and forgets about the map, forgets about ramsey, forgets everything. he wants her. so he takes her, for all her fight.
ramsey doesn't give a shit, but when he discovers that ana has escaped in a longboat and is rowing after them, he has no choice but to double back. [end issue two]
ana steals onto marx's ship and grabs luna, and the two return to the longboat. but DAMN, Damon's seen them. So they hightail it out of there, with the men on their heels, but by the time Marx is ready to follow it's too late.
ramsey is now happy, so they continue to their destination, with the two girls living on the ship as passengers rather than hostages.
close to the island where the treasure is, marx catches up with them again, but can't steal luna. instead he grabs ana, to taunt ramsey with. which pisses ramsey off, a lot, more than someone taking his map should. so luna sees this and agrees, for both ana and ramsey's sakes, to trade herself. marx is joyful and even honors the bargain. [end issue three]
marx uses luna as his personal... until they are in port. luna then kicks his ass and escapes, not back to ana but into the mainland.
ramsey drags ana along until he's got the treasure, but when it won't open he blames her. she mentions him needing luna, and so he leaves ana there to fend for herself, and he goes to search for luna. [end issue four]
luna and ana find each other after much searching, and both integrate themselves into society. ramsey comes across luna and kidnaps her on the spot. ana follows, and then once she gets on the ship he realizes that he really, really wants her. so yey, "i'm sorry for leaving you, pirate, you know, but still i kind of really want you. " and so luna, outta the goodness of her heart, opens the chest.
what does ramsey get for his trouble? some gold. not much, but some. but what else? another map.
